SCORE Meets with Local Business Professionals at May 5 Colchester Business Association Dinner
On Tuesday, May 5, SCORE will meet with local business professionals and Colchester Business Association (CBA) members at the CBA’s monthly dinner meeting. Held at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall located at 178 Linwood Ave., this meeting is open to the public. SCORE is known as “Counselors to America’s Small Business”. This nonprofit association is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth, and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE representatives will give advice on how businesses can become more successful and will direct attendees to resources that are available to help companies.
Anyone interested in learning more about the CBA and SCORE are invited to attend. The meeting will begin with a 6:00 p.m. social hour; dinner will be available at 7:00 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Culinary Delights. It will include: nacho chips and dip; Chicken Fiesta; Spanish rice; Taco Lasagna; salad; rolls; and a special Cinco de Mayo dessert. Cost is $15 per person. The Norwich Bulletin is this month’s meeting sponsor. They will be given time for a brief presentation about their services and products. The sponsor will also provide a raffle basket. Proceeds from monthly raffle baskets fund the two $1,000 scholarships that are awarded to Bacon Academy high school seniors each spring.
This is one of the many meetings the CBA coordinates that creates an educational business forum and networking platform. All attendees will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Photos are taken at the meeting and displayed on the CBA site: www.cba.bz.
The CBA is designed to promote, support and encourage business development in Colchester. Their motto is- Shop Colchester First!
